ABBY MARTIN IS BACK!

I’ve missed the smart and courageous Abby Martin, one of my favourite contrarians. She’s among the few willing to investigate empire AND the false idols of the ‘truthseeking community’.

She was on the right side of morality when targeted by the Zionist Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, and lost her sponsor as the USA sought to overthrow the Venezuelan government.

I value her arguments when I think I’m her opposition on a topic.

She was quieter and then quiet whilst squeezing out two kids into our insane world, a job I’d never volunteer for (but a destination I still love despite bouncing between depression and recovery cynicism).

She and her brother, Robbie Martin, have Media Roots Radio, the latest episode described as the “Oliver Anthony viral marketing hoax” and the “shadiness surrounding Peter Theil plant Vivek Ramaswamy.” I’m respectively against and with them before I’ve pushed play - wonderful!

I only admire Abby’s intellect and not her beauty because Michael Prysner, her anti-war activist husband, is co-producer of her Empire Files podcast :) They’re back with a criticism of Russell Brand but its behind a paywall.

Before I host that inner debate, let’s focus on Hypocrisy Me.

HYPOCRITE

Yesterday, I shared a letter from a Palestinian, saying it was my last mention of the hellstorm in Gaza. I was going to leave it to better writers, and get back on the rails towards my original intentions.

But from 3am this morning, I was again watching videos of traumatised Palestinians AND Israeli’s, staring at photos of terrified children and kidnapped teens, and absorbing corrupt President Benjamin Netanyahu and the USA taking advantage of their pain.

I don’t know how I never vomited through the propaganda but maybe I’ve got a secret talent (hey, Mom, I know you’re dead but are you proud?).

I reckon I’m not like Joe Biden or Donald Trump, ‘cause surely there are different kinds of hypocrites just the same way there are different fishes (and Americans and Jews).
