Compare China's Global TV to CNN and Fox

You don't have to be enraged by the news. That mostly happens when you're fed one point of view.

It’s easier to think when noise isn’t the newscaster’s objective.

We’re told, or led to believe, that foreign journalists are enemy agents, and that everything they broadcast is propaganda. All states, especially the superpowers, use propaganda but they also tell the truth, and show us a cultural perspective we have to consider if we seek understanding (know your enemy or know they’re not).

No government will tell me what I should think. I’ll absorb facts and agenda from different directions with the goal of being assured where I stand.

Consequently, in addition to watching Western media such as BBC and DW, I appreciate Russia Today (RT) shows such as Going Underground, and anti-sensationalist news from China Global Television Network (CGTN).

Consider these examples from CGTN the past day. Even the header example, which shows sensational Gaza, is allowed to speak for itself with elevator music as its soundtrack. Correspondents and interviewees aren’t hyperbolic. There are no brash talk show hosts pretending to be journalists. It’s unlike CNN and Fox which aim to be a Hollywood blockbusters turning us into pathetic action figures.
