SORRY! I tried to send you an invite to my other substack, the non-political me, but subscribed you instead. I’ve removed you. Of course, if you’re willing, join up.
My internet data will soon run out so please forgive an absence of articles after the Sunday video. I'll seek atonement next month. There's no holiday for penniless absurdists so I'll compete with Santa and his Hustler elves for your December attention.
It'll be interesting not reading the news for 8 days. I suspect the world will keep spinning and exploding, Islam will fatten whilst Christianity shrinks, people will keep dividing themselves to the satisfaction of those manipulating them through ideology, and many will die and be born to die (hey, it's not my fault).
It's an opportunity for me to read my notes, file downloads and work out a publishing plan for next year. I'll be more consistent, posting three times weekly, and deliver one or two big articles on Ukraine monthly. On my other substack, I’ll post on three of the days in between.
This is an anti-inflammatory period for my long-time torn arm muscle (‘cause typing sucks), a chance to get rid of months of coughing and sneezing, and an opportunity for my skin to receive Vitamin D (hooray, except for the heatwave and extreme UV warning). I'll be cleaning my colon and brain with apple, carrot and Jim Carey coloured broccoli. Then it's a lot of self-made soup (that's waiting to be unfrozen by climate change). Over the next 5 weeks, I'll lose the 7kgs I added this year. Most importantly, it'll help me focus.
I'll watch foreign language movies from news hot-spots such as Argentina, Russia and Ukraine. I love French productions so will probably add one into the mix.
Please subscribe to my creative alter ego at Wicked Ghosts where more will drop this month. I just posted a review of an amazing album I listened to in the Namib Desert 4 years ago (plus there’s camels). Coming up is a documentary about objectphilia (sexual attraction to objects such as buildings), the best documentaries of 2022 (as prelude to 2023's list), and a short story about suicide (yeah, even I was young).
