I don't always know which way is up or down in the fog of war. I don't follow Lira but I've seen him on shows of others, or they've mentioned him.

An easy credit to give him is that I appreciate people putting a face to their opinions.

An easy benefit of the doubt is to sympathise because I know what it's like to be afraid of Government.

An easy criticism is that it's foolhardy for him to be within a country that is not his country and criticise it whilst it's at war (that's unaffected by my opinion that it's NATO's War).

All that isn't enough for a verdict so use my beliefs as compass. For example, in my blog above, replace Lira's name with Bambi. Should Bambi expect better and more transparent treatment by democracies calling themselves Ukraine and the USA?

And I never play loose with terms like "pedo". I'm interested in facts, not slang.

Not getting any word from Gonzalo worries me. I hope it's because he's in Hungary detained by the Hungarians and will be given asylum.

BB, you're wrong about Lira and Escobar.

Either Ukraine is encouraging him to commit a crime so that it can more easily punish and discredit him, or he's in Hungary's hands who will, logically, take time to make a decision, possibly passing him along.

I hope he avoids the USA and goes to Chili or Brazil.

Living in a $1000p/m country makes financial sense too.
