Iceland volcano erupts after 6 weeks of hoping it wouldn't

Will the town of Grindavik and the globally famous Blue Lagoon survive Iceland’s latest volcano eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula?
A month and a half ago I gave you the backdrop with ‘Volcanic eruption expected in Iceland, state of emergency declared’. I also posted a few updates there in case someone discovered that post for the first time.
Now its erupted, and the best voice to tell you about it should have an Icelandic accent.
