South Africa keeps beating the UK and USA in the Bloody World Olympics. The Brits and Americans need trainers, not screenwriters.
The UK had 602 murders in 2022. London, population 9m, had 106.
The USA had 21,156 in 2022. New York, population 8.5m, had 433.
In South Africa, Cape Town and Durban have a combined population of 8m. They had 5,980 murders in 2022. The country, with a population 10% smaller than the UK’s, and 82% smaller than the USA’s, had 27,272.
In the first 3 months of 2023, over 200 children and 900 women were killed in South Africa. Some babies have been raped, killed and dismembered.
The gap between violent reality and British/U.S. crime TV is enormous.
