I do but not often as I decided to get back some of my life by deleting over 100 bookmarks and 80 substack subscriptions. I cannot verify his ratio but have great respect for his view. Whatever the ratio is, Ukraine is fucked, and this Winter will be critical. Will be interesting to see what Russia does along the Dnieper. They usually learn from their losses. Avdeevka may change the war.
I hear you. Weeding and Sorting recently. Sticking with Andrei more and more. The Israeli war seems to enhance "independent" creators skewed views. Sure helps in the weeding. No one factors in the "religious" context of the new war and that has to be added into the equation even if it's an abomination of scriptures, it still needs to be factored into the war. Many can't grasp context whatsoever.
I am constantly weeding but I deleted a lot of people I appreciate. I can't spend double days reading anymore if I want to write, walk, do anything else.
Oh, thanks. A recent subscriber and just beginning to read more and more which I didn't before. Necessary for more in-depth analysis on the current situation so finding more and more good content from small but spot-on creators. Appreciate it.
And "no", I'm not one of these "evangelical" Zionists. Perish the thought. Same "faith" as my ancestors as far back as I can trace. "Apostolic" is the correct word. A flux when most of my "Hispanic" compatriots are "Catholics". Ancestry is actually Native American out of New Mexico, Spanish out of New Mexico as well, Mayan, and Mexican and no traces of any other faith going back over 100 years.
Thanks for joining, and I'll risk overdosing you with https://mikehampton.substack.com/p/ukraine - can be read as standalones, re NATO, Nazis and Bakhmut. That's what I consider proper writing rather than me sharing or having a quick opinion. I'll continue that series next year.
Not only do I listen, I read his site and have his book Disintegration. Not only is Andrei Martyanov great, his commenters are too. I read Mike's comments there sometimes. We seem to run across each other on the sites cited. Andrei Martyanov is not only brilliant and informative, he's funny as Hell! I love the guy!
I laughed my ass off at that one! You made my morning. Your comment about thinning out your prescription list also made me laugh yesterday because I did the same thing.
My Mom taught me to love reading. As a kid I spent a lot of time in libraries. To me the Internet is the greatest library since Alexandria.
Library was my refuge. Librarian lived in my building and took me to my first local council meeting. The library knew me so well they let me choose news books. But my mother thought my books were Satanic, and I refused the final school prizes unless they allowed me Stephen King and Robert Ludlum (whilst the others won geology books etc. from the prescribed list). Good ol' days - minus the apartheid bit.
Do you ever listen to Andrei Martyanov? He says the ratio is now 20-25 to 1!!

There only comedians masquerading as activists.
