Welcome to my first Substack SitRep!
In between screaming babies and extra-marital affairs, most people don’t have enough time to read news that informs them out of stupidity. Consequently I’m sharing Substack’s best of the week, as well as Offstack articles and videos. One destination where you can pick and choose towards your educated opinion.
I’m opening the comment section as a test of decency. You’re welcome to share but if you’re a bigoted lunatic telling us that The Pope is a Jewish Transgender Satanist, I will delete, maybe ban. I believe in free speech but more in fighting idiocracy. I seek complimentary and opposing views that are well argued.
On a side note, as expected, Scott Ritter’s documentary series about Zelensky was removed by YouTube. If you haven’t seen them yet, my post has the links to them on Rumble.
Back to the war, the Ukrainians continue to take horrendous losses. I’ve resisted predictions about when it will end but Winter is going is going to complete the transformation of that country into Dante’s Ninth Circle of Hell. I continue to be horrified by the needless sacrificing of people like us.
Two seas and a desert away, what’s happening in West Africa is considered to be part of the new phase of the Cold War. Let’s hope that negotiations stop the invasion of Niger. That country has suffered too much already, and several of its neighbours are dry tinder for fire.
