Notes is getting to be like Twitter. The same people having conversations with themselves. It’s useful to highlight someone’s work but even at that the same people get pushed to the top all the time. The smaller people get shoved aside and quite often they’ve got the most interesting stuff to say.
I've been bitching about that for a while, and was disappointed when everyone said they would keep Notes rather than replace it. Additionally, to compete with Notes, you have to put post your article on Notes, which is daft repetition. Chat doesn't seem to have worked because, as you say, others are too busy making one-way Notes to their ego.

There are great SS writers but there's a difference between those informing and those seemingly writing the same opinion in different ways.

I'm working towards that situation where I've a Russian lady on one side, and a Ukrainian on the other, and they think the other is beautiful.
