Impoverished intellectuals will appreciate that whilst wishing for a can of beans with their son returned from the front.

So fascinating to see people living their lives, while a n intense war is underway south of there.

No trash on the street?people wearing new clothes?

Warm, friendly students filed with curiosity, that speak English?

Nothing like I would have thought.

Thanks ,Mike.

The war is very much divided between those in it and those staying out of it.

Krasnohorivka has fallen. Ukrainians fought hard. It took much longer than I expected.

These are the casualties for one day?? This daily military report makes for insane reading. My god

Daily insanity except for the last paragraph which is summary of war i.e. "In total, 630 airplanes and 278 helicopters, 28,330 unmanned aerial vehicles, 556 air defence missile systems."

The Russians aren't suffering as badly but they are suffering. If the odds are 1 to 4, we'll discover, combined, half a million dead Slavs. All because two billionaire clans were fighting, and the USA had prepared for that 'opportunity'. Unnecessary and thus more tragic.

I could say that the last sentence was the total until now but I was still floored by the earlier numbers. One day…

Madness. The ugly business of war. Or more like the ugly war of business
