As President Putin wryly remarked in response to Tucker's question "If you know that the US blew up the Nordstream Pipeline, why did you not publicize the evidence?" (Carlson). Putin: "What good would that do? The information space in the West is tightly controlled and few Western citizens would ever hear about it." He nailed it. IMHO this interview was only secondarily intended for Western Golden Billon audiences (most of who will never find out about it), but the "rest" of the world. The US is very, very good at one thing: Propaganda. The most docile prisoner is one that does not know she is in a prison.

Agreed. Putin knows his target audience. The USA is not the world, just a bonus reach. And, of course, he was aiming at Russians.

I just read the transcript. Putin as usual seemed reasonable and Carlson seemed timid but asked some good questions. How much impact it would have on Americans or their minders is the question. Probably not much.

Nothing on the minders because they're not uninformed, they just have self-objective. But this will spread like Grindavik lava through the MAGA crowd.

I read over at Larry Johnson’s stack his take on Obama not being mentioned by Putin. I thought that was interesting. Also his 159 million Twitter hits. Who knows. That doesn’t always mean what you think it does. I don’t think one has to engage for long to be considered a hit. I personally don’t use Twitter though so don’t know for sure.
