The God of War answers Western prayers
Cold War treaty ends, and Germany to send $8-billion to Ukraine in 2024.
On November 7 2023, Russia withdrew from the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe, citing NATO expansion as reason.
The USA and NATO responded by pulling out, blaming Russia, but they’ve been in breech for a long time; from the USA building a military base in Romania, to adding Finland to NATO, and, most recently, increasing a battalion to a brigade in Poland.
Additionally, between both sides, Azerbaijan has repeatedly violated the treaty, culminating in its permitted/unpunished attack on Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh.
GERMANY TO SEND $8-BILLION TO UKRAINE
The end of the treaty was a precursor to yesterday’s announcement by Germany that it’ll double its military aid to Ukraine next year ($8bn).
It had already announced that it was expanding its military.
Making the alliance clear, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Germany Chancellor Olaf Scholz delivered a joint press conference.
CONSEQUENCE
Prayers by weapon manufacturers to the God of War have been answered. There’ll be no limit to troops and armaments in Europe.
Trump, by default, is also getting his wish - Germany intends contributing its fair share to NATO, and is taking up some of the financial slack from the USA to Ukraine.
The unanswered question is how much of the EU’s members will follow.

He said it looked like the world was preparing for war. It looks more and more every day that he was correct. As a European, this news on top of Germany’s total lurch towards authoritarianism, France’s total fuck your protest approach and Ireland going completely thought crime, scares the living bejeezus out of me. It feels like the end scene of inception. Day to day life goes on at a normal pace. Outside in the layers, the build up and movement towards hell slouches in slow motion.
Once had this vivid nightmareish dream some years ago of a great conflict climaxing into a cataclysmic explosion that I now believe to be in Iran. Not one to believe in premonitions but the current events happening now in Palestine with US and Israel build up of forces is uncannily similar to that hellish dream.
The rationality for a possible nuclear response from the gods of war has never been soreal considering the desperation and insanity now being witnessed the world over from this Empire of War. The inferred incitement and threat of an Israeli nuclear strike on Iran a holocaust has perhaps stunned the global and regional powers into passivity while the War God's unleash hell onto the Palestinian.
The situation is dire it seems to me and the outlook bleak as Russia and China and Iran remain poised for such an unthinkable possibility.
