The settlers are brainwashed to believe in their own superiority and to hate the native people of the land they have stolen. Tel Aviv of course was also stolen from the Palestinians as was everything in what has been called Israel since 1947. One presumes since the Israelis have never made reparation or paid compensation that they have no legal right to any of it.

We know they are, but this is still well worth your time watching.

I was not implying it was not worth watching.

Interesting and a reminder of the humanity of all people which is a good thing. I did think a few of them did not seem very bright but perhaps they have high rates of intermarriage which would not be surprising. A couple seemed fairly reasonable but also a demonstration of how humans can separate and deny realities for the sake of comfort. I suppose if you are brainwashed from birth to believe certain things most will just believe and never question and quickly repress any doubt. Having worked with and for Israelis and been there, I have personally experienced such capacity. Not particular to Israelis of course but common in all fundamentalist religion and most movements which, by their nature and their necessity incline to cult form.

Most people aren't intelligent, it's us overthinkers who are the aberration. Mass stupidity is possible without intermarriage. I grew up during Apartheid with the luxury of not having been an adult during it.

Yes, agree but I did not mean mass stupidity. The way people look and talk can indicate lower intelligence and that is what I was noting. As they say, demonstrating 'they are not the sharpest knife in the block.'

Then again I imagine any cult environment can do that.

I loved the women in the hair salon. You will too. Us 'commoners' make for better government.

I found the first film really interesting. What a reality to grow up in a settlement in Israel.

A valuable documentary, helpful when someone goes inside rather than making a documentary about an exterior opinion.
