Subscriber: I worry about the rise of fascism all over the world. The Overton window has moved so far to the right.

Me: Yes, instead of it being a manipulated or natural slow slide, it jumped. There's value in the best of liberalism and conservatism but this isn't truly about that. It's corrupted backlash.

Like if you despise Biden and Clinton, you have to jump into a group that's doesn't see its own contradiction as being about religion, population die out, loving conspiracies (with not enough separation between real and fake), loving Musk, loving Putin, loving Milei, loving Bolsanaro, loving Trump, loving Orban, hating NATO, hating vaccines, hating immigrants, hating gays (with the hate for immigrants and gays disguised by using more extreme versions of them) etc.

I will sometimes take a side for the sake of geopolitical realism but I will not have heroes in people or ideology. When I make mistakes, I want to be able to change, not be a mirror opposite of what I'm fighting, not be part of a human cow cult nor an advertiser for it.

My brain is cloudy from not enough sleep this month. Responded to you, and thought I should make it a note but there wasn't the option, so I deleted it and will post the above version in Notes.

One day, after a thought such as yours, and with frustration at the gullibility with the alternative community, I typed out what I believe and then never posted it. But I will this coming week.

I get your gist, for sure. Great that you'll be articulating it in a post. That's one of the reasons I'm such a stickler for getting accurate reporting. These rabbit holes people disappear into are very damaging and dangerous.

An irritation for me is that as fake X facts were use to say how popular Tucker/Trump was, now the same is happening with Tucker/Putin. When given an argument why the stats are fake, and its ignored, people I like become propaganda which makes me wonder if they have a boss, or if their intention is to seek favour from someone who'll be a boss. Why couldn't Tucker just have great success, why does it have to multiplied as a weapon against media against Trump. Truth matters, especially inconvenience. Don't fight fake with fake.

I'm sure the Tucker/Putin interview was watched by a lot of people, but I ignored the numbers.

I still think that people who watched the interview might feel that mainstream media has mischaracterized Putin, not that I agree with him on everything, but I think we get a different sense of who he is from what has been presented.

As follow-on to what I previously said, I want to be able to hold two thoughts for one healthier mind. I'm not standing up for MSM. I'm applying my same principles to them and X e.g. a lot watched but the difference, for example, between a more realistic 15 million and Musk's fake 200 million on X is a lot. Of course MSM is mischaracterising Putin, and thus I've tried to make a contribution to correcting that narrative.

There is ample evidence that early US intelligence services collaborated with then known nazi intelligence service members following wwII. From my earlier reading a number of these prior Hitler intelligence agents were recruited by the US during the early coldwar era, this radical ideology is evident and interwoven within the cia today. I am very inclined to believe this to be case that also includes mossad and their seemingly likeness to genocidal aspirations of nazi germany we witness today in Palestine and hence US unwavering support to Israel.

To punt myself, my Nazis in Ukraine articles, listed at the bottom of the post, are worth reading.
