The very fine folk on all sides in TelAviv call the Palestinians animals to justify the atrocities against them and our rushing of arm shipments implies the Biden Harris administration buys into the argument.

They can be silent and just treat them the same, the people that doen't call for help when their neighbour ties up a shivering dog for months, and wakes it with a kick.

Think how lazy, vacuous and morally hollow someone has to be to pay for a "guaranteed" "trophy" lion "hunt".

Years ago, when I was a journalist, I interviewed an old codger who as a young man had seduced and married his uncle's wife to get to her wealth then did numerous safaris to Africa. His home was filled with the mounted heads of lions, gazelles, bears and -- yes -- even an elephant. I took my son along for the interview so he would get a clear image of what an empty soulless man looked and sounded like.

I took him on lots of reporting trips so he would get some good insights on the world.

In the field. The best kind of education

In another story I didn't take my son on, I covered a trophy hunt on a Native American reservation in Arizona. There were about a half-dozen super wealthy idiots there. One was accompanied by his married daughter who one of the other wealthy idiots took a liking to. They hooked up for an out-in-the-open weekend fling. The guy had his guide shoot an elk for him while he smoozed about with the young lady.

I've an image in my head of your son, age 8, being on that trip too, dressed in a cub scout uniform, and you carrying a typewriter on your back, and these being a collage directed by Wes Anderson as 'The Grand Dispatch'.

I imagine that someone vacuous and hollow would be empty and devoid, a pit of nothingness, but darkness that kills.

That's a charitable perspective. Honestly, they were such a group of microscopic dicks over compensating for themselves with ostentatious wealth and wanton violence.
