I believe that the Russian attack had a four fold purpose, that of responding to the Ukrainian attacks on Rostov on Don, the assasination of the Russian General in Moscow, and backing up Putins challenge in regard to accumulating all western air defences around Kiev to see if they could stop an Oreshnik missile, and lastly as another warning, that Russia could target any place within Kiev, with pin point precision.

One only has to look at the high priority person targeted in a high rise building in Kiev wirh a precision strike, to understand that he was the retaliation for the death of the Russian General.

Next up of course Putin has proven that all western air defence systems cannot stop conventional ballistic missiles over Kiev, let alone trying to stop the Oreshnik.

This of course was an additional warning of how much damage an Oreshnik missile could wreak on Kiev.

You could be right but it's more effective, especially mentally, for Russia to respond per event.

Regards defence systems, that works two ways. Russia can't stop everything coming in. It's too big a country.

True, the effect would be greater, however the Ukies and the West are so incredibly Thick, that they still haven't figured out how much actual damage the Russians have already wrought on the Ukraine, so would it make any difference.

Just the troop loss difference is telling enough.

Yes, having been in combat myself, I know you can't avoid all the bullets, you just have to avoid most, and those which hit musn't hit too many strategic targets, as we are seeing that Russian anti-aircraft systems are taking down most of the missiles being launched into Russia.

I am however somewhat surprised by the Ukrainian drones which made it all the way to Kazhan, +-1000km without being detected.

Kazan is just the latest hole, and another retaliation coming. The next month will be uncomfortable for both sides, and both will make a major move. Russia is on the defensive in Zaporizhzhia.

This is the latest indication that we can expect the Russians to launch the first attack.

Every major Russian attack so far has started with a combination of drones, artillery and missiles to soften up the target and break the defences.

Yes, but that's happening in so many places. Sumy and Kharkiv areas are options, but I thought Zaporizhzhia would be next. Instead, both sides are fighting for position, so I'm unsure who is now preempting who.

Agreed. I suggested he take a break, head for SE Asia, specifically Cambodia,

- Thailand is overrun with tourists and it’s not the same as it was 10 years ago, overrated-beautiful beaches, lovely French colonial cities, visit the majestic temples of Angkor Wat, visit Pol Pot’s infamous interrogation center S-21. Along with a gorgeous Cambodian lady. Enjoying cheap cell phone and internet service, no blackouts, and safe. Damn, he can relocate there, $500/month go a long way, and write his great articles while overlooking the Indian Ocean. Let’s hope for the best for our buddy.

Haha, we all have our moments, I blew a fuse today. The Zionists all over the place. They’re using UN data, which is based on previous data and doesn’t account for genocide, claiming that no genocide is taking place as the forecast shows population growth is 2 percent.

“Russia pummels Kiev in response to US & UK missile attack on Rostov”???

Russia (not Russia, but The Russian Federation, if I got it right!)“ PUMMELS KIEV” and tons of similar non-stop claims (SHIT), and Kiev is still KIEV???

“Russia” is so terrorised by USUKISRAEL that all their bombings served and serve no purpose except keep the status quo! They are not brave enough to bomb those now “bombing Rostow” “killing ONE PERSON”– and, too scared of “the US & UK missile attack on Rostow” that they would still not dare bomb Jew-York and London or Paris??? Jewish Messiah Trump and King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Israel will not like it at all. I never forgot what they did to Germany, which they holocaustly transformed into Jewermany!

Hitler used SOCIALISM TO CONVINCE GERMANS OF BETTER TIMES. When he became Chancellor he embraced FASCISM AND CAPITALISM . We all know how it ended. The Holocaust (11+million killed ), total destruction of EUROPE. USA Capitalist Benefited with the MARSHALL PLAN , that started the slow take over of Western Europe. Through the USA Militarization of Europe under the disguise of NATO and the Threat that RUSSIA posed(COLD WAR). It’s been AMERICAN CAPITALIST FASCISM that has now destroyed EUROPEAN COUNTRIES and around the World. American Fascism (World Dominance). The Fascist in AMERICA ARE NOW BENEFITING FROM THE SEEDS SOWAN BY ADOLF HITLER AND THE NAZI PARTY. It was a SLOW PROCESS. But the FOURTH REICH IS HERE and present in USA.

Nobody in Washington or Brussels or Kiev cares what happens to Ukraine or Ukrainians.

Frankly, except to the extent that it makes the Russian leadership look like it is doing something, this is a waste of perfectly good missiles.

It also is a major intelligence failure on the part of Russia that it cannot find thes launchers or stockpiles and destroy them.

I have my criticism but I haven't swung to Russia being inept. There's argument for Putin trying to win over non-Western countries, which would have been harder if he had simply and quickly defeated Ukraine. He will also want to make argument to the UN, after the war, that he was being reasonable. Of course, hundreds of thousands of lives are at stake, so its notable that Ukraine's leadership hasn't been removed. I expect hell and craziness to continue, even increase, in the short term, but that Russia, overall, will win the situation, militarily and politically.

"Because PR" is just cope. The US has behaved barbarically and with zero consequences. If anything, Russian indecision has cost them friends, because there are such fearsome consequences for defying the United States, while Russia can be slapped around at will.

Russia can defeat Ukraine, but only if NATO doesn't intervene, and even if Russia wins, it will pay a huge and unnecessary cost for its dithering.

I sometimes can't separate PR from reality, but sometimes I think I can. As to the US paying a cost, I agree that has not happened.

Zaporozhzhia, is a little difficult to read, given that the Russians were first to start building up forces there and the Ukies responded.

It has been my opinion that the Russians intend launching a pre-emptive strike there, given that the Ukies have been trying desperately for more than a year to attack and capture the Nuclear Power plant.

Time will however tell who strikes first.

I do believe that we will see more of the Oreshnik's being launched subsequent to the attack on Kazhan, this time, in all probability, with conventional warheads attached.
