Yep, to be aware of fake people is to be aware of who we associate with. Too many arseholes think that standing for human rights and against empire means hating Jews, gays, climate change believers and non-Trumpers. Alex Jones and his kind are not heroes. A bunch of alternative commentators aren't supporting Putin because NATO's the devil but because they're angling for a job in an American conservative administration, or cosying up to their old pals. Or at least trying to make bucks out of being contrarian. The only sanity is in not switching one delirium for another. Thank fully, there are a few good writers who realise that the ego-feeding and kill-others-for-profit system needs to burn on both sides. That probably won't stop Substack pursuing profit over truth. Let's not forget that Google was, once upon a time, the good guys too. Feeling sun on our faces and beer on our tongues, that's real!

Thank you!

Best to delete your comment or repost without email address as my SA trolls may find you.

Well, having tried to get through you 'SitRep' of this morning in its allotted 8-minutes, and failing after well over half an hour to read through any more than 2/3 of the links alone, as described in a comment on that post, I went through a few more of your posts, just to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. (You ARE, after all, one of only ten subscribers to my Substack, and three of the others are familiar to me from elsewhere.) I've left a trail of comments along the way.

I thought I'd close the circle by finishing at this, the 'SitRep' preceding the one I'd had a crack at this morning. It's not good: there's no point me trying to read even the titles of 165 links — just ain't gonna happen, never mind 10-minute read. Besides, it took me at least half that long just to read the first couple of paragraphs. Then I got pulled in by 'Dr. Miriam Grossman Destroys Gender Ideology in 5 Minutes'. Wow! And I like Mearsheimer, so that took some time. We're a good half an hour, forty minutes in now. Then Blinken... I just can't keep up. And I'd love to see what the Putin/Kim thing is all about at the end.

How the hell have you managed to condition/discipline yourself to get through all this?!

It's good to know that my plan to embed cartoons for non-reading adults worked.

What if I'm all of those 7 strangers, and my fake profiles are my evangelical attempt to stoke your ego into publishing more photos that I can steal for my forthcoming, for-profit McNot Online Gallery?

As for time, my shrink says I'm a masochist... but fool she is because my goal is to be a linking sadist.

Ah-ha, yeah...

Having slept on that, while not sleeping but hoping sleep might come anyway, like every night, I thought it probably better to re-vamp that. I'm afraid there might be too much there to excite your trolls. Taking down the most provocative parts is my next job this morning.

I once had a subscriber share my book, and the politicians sued her for the price of a house. A pro bono lawyer saved her. But that's not South Africa. Overseas folk have nothing to worry about but I advise against sharing email addresses in the comment section.

I have no intention of sharing my e-mail address, nor anything else like that online.

That, if fact, is what I was worried about, having not slept on it the night before: I'd rather overshared a lot of photos which might tell someone rather more about me than I might like them to know, hence the deletion.

Mind you, to be realistic, bearing in mind Snowden's situation, there are an awful lot of people who know everything about everyone, so trying to evade them is pointless. There are, however, wide ranges of second-rate actors, from simple morons c/w associated psychoviolent masturbation habits to the most sincerely dedicated activists of all sorts of other descriptions, who might make a nusiance of themselves. There's no point treading on wasps' nests; the wasps inside might be friendly and they might not.

Exposing corruption gave me a lot of experience with politically motivated trolls.
