Azerbaijan’s victory over Armenia in Nagorno-Karabakh is an earthquake for Eurasia. Plus Justin Trudeau's madness, Germany's refugee crisis, and much more...
My God, how the hell do you manage to go through all this? Substack classifies this as an 8-minute read, so I thought I'd manage it in ten. I spent half an hour just reading the titles of the links, and I only got about 2/3 of the way through before I had to stop. But you must have at least had a quick look at everything linked to be sure it was more or less on the same sort of page as you'd like, and I suspect you've delved a lot more deeply into all of them to make quite sure you're more than just superficially familiar with what they're putting out and how you relate to it. How the hell do you do that? You must speed-read in your sleep, or something?! There aren't enough hours in the day for me to even read through the titles of the work you link to, never mind work out how I might relate to them. (I did go through the one with Mearsheimer, though. I like him.) Now, I understand why you'd promised yourself not to post for a while. You can wear yourself out, you know? Be careful.
I read, watched, masturbated to more than the 140 links above to choose them. Full week's job for few to read. But I'll keep doing this one cause if one person chooses Mearsheimer, that's a good day. But I'm slowing down on everything else for a while. Need to do other things like tooth extractions.
Funny thing about Mearsheimer, I felt he somehow let him self down a bit here, not quite sure why. It's the first time I've had that feeling about him. I think he's tired as well.
And what a parade of clowns he's compelled to work with?! Must be frustrating (but he's such a well-humoured, genuinely tolerant guy he just seems to suck it up) maybe that's why he's so tired: it's OK with university kids at daily lectures, but it must get terribly frustrating for him with adults.
Anyway, I'm sure I don't need to remind you (Your tooth will do that.) but don't forget to look after yourself.
Mearsheimer's become a superstar. He needs to learn that he doesn't have to always cater to demand. He should regularly breathe and occasionally produce something masterful.
I was ineptly describing the paradox of believing we should all write and expose, but that I should maybe spend more time as a student when there are better teachers than me. In opposition, there's the wish to be alone and silent...
War is peace, fascism is democracy!
Once upon a time that would have been a comment by a nut. Nowadays, that's the truth.

Yeah, tooth extractions are important.

I'm sure he does his best.
Ouch! Take care of yourself. Job #1 for everyone.
Impossible whilst politicians are involved, but we can always do a bit more for ourselves, even if its just time out.
You are one of the best. Thanks for this
Thank you.
Lots to look at and absorb. But certainly some very good information to add to the expanding escalations and relationships forming/formed.
Sometimes I wonder if I should just stop, and instead read more Whitney Webb.
I doubt any single perspective is worth losing that much breadth. But I really wouldn't know that personally!
