I was 100% against the death penalty but after many bad encounters with power, I wasn't sure anymore. However, that's nullified by my lack of trust in the justice system. With it being so corrupt, how can it decide death?

That is the most logical position. I think he made the AI decision popular for the billionaires, the fish decision (instead of an almond decision) for support from Hollywood etc.
If he's concerned about drugs, why isn't he also declaring a national emergency to tackle addiction, and tackling Big Pharma.
