Have you seen Incendies? Brilliant and devastating.

My international movie list may change when I rewatch all my favourites back-to-back but 'Incendies' is #1.

I debated whether to include it here. It is based on a Canadian-Lebanese play, filmed by a Canadian director, shot in Jordan, and no country is identified in the movie. Maybe I change my mind when I start a movie website.

Lubna Azabal, the lead, should be seen in the Palestinian 'Paradise Now'. I'm looking forward her in 'The Blue Caftan'.

Director Denis Villeneuve went on to be famous in English with 'Dune', 'Prisoners', 'Sicario' etc. His 'Arrival' is special even among special movies. His French-language 'Polytechnique' should also be viewed.
