Seems to be the flavor (story) of the day. It replaced the Fortress Bakhmut story. Where next? Like the sands of the hourglass, Ukrainian lives drained away.
This is a big deal, Avdeevka having been one of those most fortified cities. Victory secures Donetsk city more than Bakhmut did. Chavis Yar is a strategic hill west of the latter, heavily defended, but the Russians may make a go for it. A lot is going to depend on snow versus mud. If the Russians come down from the north near Lyman, they'd have an arrowhead. The second front will be further south, near the Dnipro River. Russia also has to create a buffer zone between Kharkiv and Belgorod. If the troops are supplied, it would make sense to strike on all fronts and ensure Ukraine's missiles tun out before the USA gives them more. But where there's mud, Russia will fortify, save men, and wait for Ukraine to attack.
No I understand the significance. It’s just that it seems like a lot of analysts are playing this like a video game. The difference being of course is the players don’t come back when the game is restarted. I know you’re not wired like that.
It's the Putin/Tucker/Trump fanboy club that Americanizes people dying into a reality game show. I almost imagine it as the opposite end of the liberals craziness regarding unpunished crime and defunding the police. The USA is home to a lot of loud opinion that pretends to care but, through it's joyful arrogance, doesn't, and is only batting for a personality as if its a baseball or hip-hop star, but batting mostly for oneself in the hope of being a social media celebrity.
I feel so sorry for the Ukrainians, betrayed by their masters, who in turn have been betrayed by their masters and so it goes. The Ukrainians voted Zelensky in on his platform for peace and look what they got? I guess the fascist elements had him by the short and curlies very quickly. Perhaps we all have a destiny which will play out regardless.
Which is where we have to be open to the possibility that there are other forces at work and everything is an opportunity to learn and we humans do not learn easily or quickly.
There is a very interesting book written by Richard Tarnas, Cosmos and Psyche, who also wrote The Passion of the Western Mind. The book is about astrological influences at work in the world. Very thought-provoking.
Fair enough. I am open to anything. It is a fascinating book. I do find most people who categorically reject astrology have never studied it? Is that the case for you?

Solid article.
Very slowly, then all at once, eh?
It could well be.

So many disasters in history by politicians promising something different to what they did. Humans as crowds rarely learn. I battle with that fact.

Sorry, Roslyn, that direction is not for me.

I'll give you kudos for showing a debating skill, ha ha, but still not interested.
Oh that is fair enough. I really was just curious as to whether you had researched it and found it wanting, or just rejected it. :)
